You know my heart and how fragile it is. That I tend to get emotionally invested in my relationships, which hurts if they don’t work out.
Father lord, I ask you to help me to guard my heart. Teach me to set boundaries and protect my mind, my soul, and my heart.

What the Bible says about singles
Before I share my thoughts on singleness, I want to ensure that I know how hard this season is.
I was in it for many years myself. When your biggest heart’s desire is to find the right person, it feels demotivating when people tell you to “just be happy”. So, I’m not going to tell you to do that.
Instead, I’m going to encourage you to consider a different perspective. God’s words about singles are clear. He wants us to see this season as a part of God’s plan for us.
Instead of wasting time worrying about a potential spouse, he wants us to use it to do His work on earth as scripture says.
Trust that God hears your prayers for true love and in his timing, he will send you the man of God you have been asking him for.
But until then, fight your fear of loneliness and see your single season as the perfect time to devote yourself to Jesus Christ.
How do I pray to God for my life partner?
As a single person, you might want to pray for your husband. That’s totally fine.
The first thing I would do is to get very clear on the qualities you want in a godly man. You want to be sure that your desire aligns with God’s desire to give you the right Christian man.
The next thing you want to do is find scriptures that help you pray. You can choose any of the bible verses I used for the prayer for singles above. Or you can look up new ones that inspire and comfort you. Using God’s words makes your prayers much more powerful.
Afterward, start meditating on the love your desire to call in. Imagine what life will feel like with your future spouse in it and what it will be like to be a good wife to him.
Once you have done all that, see the prayer as answered. Because God’s perfect love for you is to give you a beautiful future.
