Signs a guy is unsure of his feelings for you
Just like many of you, I watched season 2 of Love Is Blind on Netflix last week. A show that has captivated so many of us since it first came out in 2020.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about just search for Love Is Blind anywhere on social media and you’ll find lots of memes and commentary about it.
However, to get to the point, the couple that struck me the most was Abishek and Deepti. Why? Because Abishek triggered the hell out of me. He reminded me so much of my ex that I found myself pausing the show multiple times to take a deep breath or scream.
Yes, I get invested like that.
Especially, because I know what it feels like when a guy is unsure of his feelings for you. Just like Deepti I had to make the difficult decision last year to choose myself. I left a relationship because my ex just wasn’t sure about me. His indecisiveness started to affect my self-esteem and made me feel increasingly insecure, which is unlike me. And I refuse to show up desperate or needy in relationships.
This is why today I’m sharing 5 obvious signs a guy is unsure of his feelings for you.
1. He is hot and cold
It always shocks me how many of us beautiful girls accept feeling confused and anxious while dating.
We are so accustomed to men being hot and cold that we get turned off when a guy texts back consistently. When in all reality, the low effort is a clear sign that a guy is unsure of his feelings for you.
2. He avoids talking about the future
Like I mentioned in a previous post when a guy is not sure about you and the relationship, he will avoid talking about future plans.
Meaning, even though you have been dating for a few months or even years, it feels like there is no progression and he has gotten comfortable with the status quo.
3. He is emotionally unavailable
I personally have decided to declare emotional unavailability as a major red flag in my dating life.
Why?
Because that behavior is a clear sign for when a man is unsure of his feelings. A man that is emotionally unavailable is not in tune with his true feelings and therefore not capable of truly connecting with you.
Something I have dealt with in past relationships that wasted a lot of time.
4. He doesn’t like defining your relationship
Similar to the last point, when a man is confused about what he wants, he will often feel very uncomfortable defining your relationship. Even though he might have romantic feelings for you, he shies away from putting a label on it.
Maybe because he is not ready for a serious relationship or maybe because he doesn’t believe you are the right person for him. Whatever it is, make sure you don’t settle for a situationship when you really desire a relationship.
5. He doesn’t see the relationship as a priority
If the guy you are dating repeatedly outs his family, friends, and work first, then that’s a telltale sign that he doesn’t see your relationship as a priority.
When a guy is unsure of his feelings for you, lacks focus and decisiveness regarding the relationship. Instead of prioritizing you and giving you his full attention, he acts indifferent or even neglectful.
If you read the above points and got extremely triggered then I’d like to say “you’re welcome!”. Because it means that you are starting to feel so uncomfortable with your current love life that you’ll soon be ready to make some changes.
